Things to bring
(They do have most of these items readily available but you may pay a
premium)
-
Sunscreen
(The Baja sun is very intense)
-
Aloe Vera
(for when you forget to put on the previous recommendation!)
-
Large Brimmed Hat
-
Sun Glasses
(Polarized are best when fishing)
-
Swimwear
-
Sandals for walking the beaches
-
Water shoes for wading and reef walking in some areas
-
Duct Tape for sealing you coolers full of fish
-
Ice Chests to transport your fish home
-
Lots of small change for tipping
-
Bottled water
-
Liquid Oxygen (This can be purchased at most health food stores and
if you add a few drops to your water several times a day it will
prevent any of those nasty cases of the stomache flu’s that you have
probably heard about from drinking the Mexican water. Many people
say well, I just won’t drink the water but don’t forget, most food
is washed with it and the ice in your drinks is made with it. The
Good news is that most of the modern hotels have good filtered water
so it isn’t near as much of a problem as in the past but, Better
safe than sorry.)
Things to leave at home
-
Food
(there is plenty of inexpensive places to eat and the food is
fantastic)
-
Fancy Clothes
( this is a very casual place)
-
Recreational Drugs
(Mexico is not a place you want to push your luck with the law)
-
Dry Ice
(can become unstable or explosive when sealed in a cooler and
pressurized on the plane)
